Visa and Immigration
Step 1: Accommodations
Secure your accommodation for the duration of your training and competition as this will be asked in the application process.
Step 2: Register for the WMACi 2027
Registration will open July 2026. Invitation letters have been sent to your WMA Member Federation and can be obtained by calling your respective federation. Personalized letters of invitation may be requested online at www.wmaci2027.com and will only be issued to registered and validated athletes who have requested a letter by the February 13, 2027 deadline.
Step 3: Visa Waiver Program
The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) enables most citizens or nationals of participating countries* to travel to the United States for tourism or business for stays of 90 days or less without first obtaining a visa, when they meet all requirements. Travelers must have a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval prior to travel. If you prefer to have a visa in your passport, you may still apply for a visitor (B) visa.
Step 4: Apply for Visa
We advise the following for applying for a visitor B visa, which for most countries, covers athletes, teams, and support staff coming to the US for a competition. Again, please inquire with your local embassy or consulate. To apply for your visa, click the button below. The “Visa Wizard” will take you through each step of the process including correct forms, picture uploads, and fees.
